Η ερευνητική του εμπειρία περιλαμβάνει Τρόφιμα και Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτική και ανάλυση, Αγροτική Ανάπτυξη, Ανάλυση Αγροτικού Μάρκετινγκ και Επενδύσεων,διακλαδική ανάλυση Διεθνούς Εμπορίου με εξειδίκευση στα μοντέλα εισροών-εκροών.Η εμπειρία του διευρύνεται από την απασχόλησή του ως διευθυντής σε επιχείρηση μεταποίησης αγροτικών προϊόντων και από την επί σειρά ετών απασχόληση στο Υπουργείο Γεωργίας.

Είναι ειδικός στην ανάλυση επιπτώσεων και πολιτικής και έχει υπηρετήσει σε αρκετές σχετικές επιτροπές της ΕΕ και της Εθνικής Επισιτιστικής Πολιτικής. Έχει δημοσιεύσει πολλές επιστημονικές εργασίες και είναι συντάκτης/συν-εκδότης ή μέλος της συντακτικής επιτροπής πολλών επιστημονικών περιοδικών.

Έχει διατελέσει Επιστημονικός Συντονιστής και Συντονιστής Έργων πολλών Ερευνητικών Προγραμμάτων που χρηματοδοτούνται από την ΕΕ και επί του παρόντος συντονίζει και συμμετέχει σε μερικά έργα EU HORIZON
